Large-format drawings of Czech artist and art pedagogue Libuše Vendlová invite us into the intimacy of personal spaces. Her art is closely linked to psychoanalysis and becomes a tool for exploring personality and inner space. The drawings presented from the Houses series follow on her diploma thesis "Images in the Head." They appear realistic and dreamlike at the same time. They are maps of mental spaces, capturing the daily routine of the inhabitants of the house and intertwining with multigenerational stories. Libuše Vendlová teaches drawing and painting, illustrates books and magazines, and devotes herself to drawing, watercolour, oil painting and fashion design. Her large-format drawings explore personal perceptions of places and events, depicting relationships and changes over time.
