In his interdisciplinary performance on a large tree in the castle garden, Czech multimedia artist Martin Zetová focuses primarily on the demanding nature of artistic work from the perspective of testing the limits of one's own body and the abilities of suspending oneself and performing painting on canvas. However, the project may also raise other questions related to society's current complicated relationship with nature and the environment undergoing climate change. Martin Zetová (1959) focuses primarily on performance and sculpture, but also works with drawing, photography, video and art books. In his work, he actively connects personal stories with broader social and historical themes. His distinctive work is conceptual, mixing time, memory and materials with humour and metaphorical exaggeration.
