Artist, lecturer, mentor and primary prevention methodologist Matyáš Grimmich works with issues related to art and culture in a therapeutic context. As part of the advisory circle, he will offer a space for sharing experiences and stories about challenging working conditions in the arts. Group sharing is focused on listening to others and strengthening mutual trust. Speaking and not speaking are entirely voluntary, and both have their value. At the same time, mutual support has beneficial effects and the exchange of experiences helps to deepen understanding of the context of the arts. Matyáš Grimmich is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His work focuses on themes of mental health, illness, collectivity and community. Through group work, drawings and stories, he explores the influence of society on individuals, particularly in relation to pressure, expectations and failing care systems. In addition to his artistic practice, he works in the non-profit sector.
