Petra Pětiletá fluidly transitioned from artistic creation to teaching, and she encouraged her students at the Gymnazium Na Zatlance to discover the power of controlled imagination. Using this method, students create their own personal ‘garden of the soul.’ In this imaginary refuge, everyone finds a calming place that promotes rest and contemplation, helping to cultivate a sense of inner peace and grounding. In an age visually saturated with digital communications and content, the ability to find an inner space created by one's own perception is a valuable resource. This image can then be transferred from the mind to paper using various artistic techniques. In this context, guided imagination is an introspective journey mediated by the symbolism of nature, enabling the personalised creation of a space that corresponds to individual mental well-being needs. Although this concept is not new, its potential for supporting mental and emotional health makes it very relevant today.
