A different perspective on the human inner world we perceive from the Czech-German-American multimedia artist, poet, and lyricist based in Prague Phila Primus (1991). In her visual work, she explores the body and consciousness as means of understanding the deeper, unconscious aspects of human existence. Her work reflects mental processes in which biological, social, and symbolic dimensions intertwine, whose interaction shapes our will and decisions. Inspired by the tradition of surrealism, the artist uses imagination and reflection to reveal the absurdity of realism. The selected works are collages combining various techniques, objects, and spatial installations.
